Dress for your body type. Some people are blessed enough to be able to throw on something that Beyonce wears and it looks amazing. If I try to go against the grain and wear something that my body doesn't like, it's going to show.

I've had an amazing ride. I've been blessed beyond things that I could never have imagined.

I've been blessed with so many opportunities and so many amazing things throughout this process. But all the while, I remember that the reason that I'm here and the reason that I do music and tell these stories is that people come to know the love, the God that I know.

I was cursed with the inability to ever sleep in late, a habit inherited from years of working on fishing boats. Being drunk and/or being hungover has never been nor ever will be an acceptable reason for not being at work and doing your job on time. In some sick way, there's even a sense of pride from being able to party all night and work all day. Throughout my entire career, I and others alike in the industry were praised for this attribute. A talent that I often secretly wore like a scarlet letter of shame, I was blessed with an extremely high tolerance for alcohol, particularly whiskey. The problem with this is that it got me into a lot of shitty situations. I often found myself in questionable locations, with even more questionable company, doing even more questionable activities. It was a direct portal to a darkness that had haunted me since my teenage years.

Isn't that what every girl dreamed? That she'd wake and find herself a princess? or blessed with magical powers and a grand destiny. Maybe there were people who lived those lives, maybe this girl was one of them but what about the rest of us? What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns, we learn to ring magic from the ordinary, that's how you survived when you weren't chosen, when there was no royal bloods in your veins, when the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway!

We all go through hard times in life. It's a part of being alive and it's the reality we all have to deal with. There are times we forget our value as a person because we are so blinded with these thoughts of loneliness, emptiness and ego. Somewhere along the road we become numbed with all the frustrations and dissatisfaction. But life itself isn't always about darkness and sadness, Life is also filled with colors and that makes it beautiful. Along this path of darkness there's always light waiting to be seen by our daunted hearts. Our heart is gifted to see this light. It may be hiding behind those circumstances that we encounter; in a stranger we just met at an unexpected place; a family who has been always there but you just ignored because of your imperfect relationship with them; it might be a long time friend you have or a friend you just met. Open your heart and you will see how blessed you are to have them all in your life. Sometimes they are the light that shines your path in some dark phases of life. Don't lose hope

Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing

Again, we are reminded that life is precious? fleeting. Let's endeavor to live this amazing life to the fullest. Let's have the courage to pursue our dreams?To unapologetically cultivate a personal environment conducive to our growth, by nourishing healthy relationships and starving the toxic ones. Let's laugh at the little nonsense that used to anger us and let go of the grudges that used to weigh us down. Let's help each other. Let's show our unquestionable love to the special people in our lives. Let's squeeze this experience for all it's worth. We are so blessed to be here, NOW? Let's not throw away another day of this beautiful precious life.

When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.

Wisdom and wealth are not necessarily twins. Solomon was blessed with wisdom, he was also blessed with riches. His wealth did not result from his wisdom. Jesus was so wise that it was said of him, "never has another man spoken like this". Yet he was materially poor. He had to borrow money to illustrate Caesar's things. Next time you mock a poor man to convert his wise ideas to cash, think twice.

Wisdom and riches are not always synonymous. There are instances of 'rich but foolish' and 'poor but wise'. Solomon's riches did not result from his wisdom; he was blessed riches also. The wisest of all men was poor. He was poor enough to obtain a coin from someone in his audience (without ridicule) to postulate the famous quote, "give Caesar's things to Caesar ..." Next time you ridicule a poor man's suggestion as bereft of wisdom, think twice. What he may be bereft of is the opportunity or sterner stuff it requires to convert it to cash.

I have suffered great losses and have been blessed with great consolations, but whatever life may give me or take away, this is the simple wisdom that will always light my life: I have loved, passionately, fearlessly, with all my heart and all my soul, and I have been loved in return. For me, this is enough.

Do not dilute the truth of your potential. We often convince ourselves that we cannot change, that we cannot overcome the circumstances of our lives. That is simply not true. You have been blessed with immeasurable power to make positive changes in your life. But you can't just wish it, you can't just hope it, you can't just want it... you have to LIVE it, BE it, DO it.
