I auditioned for 'Coco' when I was nine years old, and I had no idea I was auditioning for a Disney/Pixar movie. When I was 10, they told me that it was going to be a Disney/Pixar movie, and I was just mind-blown. I was so shocked and thankful that I was going to Pixar.

Pixar is not about computers, it's about people.

In Hollywood, they think drawn animation doesn't work anymore, computers are the way. They forget that the reason computers are the way is that Pixar makes good movies. So everybody tries to copy Pixar. They're relying too much on the technology and not enough on the artists.

Everything I do and everything Pixar does is based on a simple rule: Quality is the best business plan, period.

Every single Pixar film at one time or another has been the worst movie ever put on film. But we know. We trust our process. We don't get scared and say 'Oh no this film isn't working.'

I'll watch a Pixar movie over and over and over again. I'll be with friends of mine who have kids that want to watch 'Finding Nemo ' and I'm like 'Yeah okay let's watch 'Nemo' again for the seven billionth time! ' because they're amazing movies.
