As you can see from 'Symptomatic of a relationship gone sour' I have definitely done my fair share of sinning, so I just want to recount my story and how I have come to terms with myself.

The Bible tells us to "speak the truth in love" because we can't have community without candor. Solomon said, "An honest answer is a sign of true friendship." Sometimes this means caring enough to lovingly confront one who is sinning or is being tempted to sin.

God is bigger than our sins. God wants you as you are-stumbling, sinning, confused. All He asks if is is love-love for Him, love for others, and love for ourselves. He asks us to lay down our lives-not to live like ascetics, devoid of pleasure or joy, but to give him our lives so that he may increase our joy and increase our love.

So, let me get this straight-- You want me to stop being a lesbian and being attracted to women because it is a 'sin'? Last time I checked, when you lie you are sinning. Sure, I could tell you I am no longer a lesbian or that I am no longer attracted to women and am straight, or I could even tell you the moon is made of cheese. I could tell you many things, but the moon will still not be made of cheese, and I will still not be attracted to men. I could tell you a lie in order to placate you, but isn't the truth supposed to set me free? I choose truth over lies any day of the week.
