Personally, I think so-called "common language" is more interesting and apropos than "proper English"; it's passionate and powerful in ways that "wherefore art thou ass and thy elbow" just isn't.

There are occasions and causes, why and wherefore in all things.

Women wish to be loved without a why or a wherefore not because they are pretty or good or well-bred or graceful or intelligent but because they are themselves.
