Bumble was founded with several key values: empowerment, equality, and kindness. We are a company that was built to empower women and empower men to respect women. We want to create a place where all types of connections take place: a platform and a brand where women always make the first move.

Environmental concerns and feminism are locked together. Generally, women have closer connections to the organic nature of our lives.

What I have experienced over time is that environmental problems are easier to deal with in ways that don't go into their interconnections to the rest of what we are.

Innate mechanisms endow the visual system with highly specific connections, but visual experience early in life is necessary for their maintenance and full development. Deprivation experiments demonstrate that neural connections can be modulated by environmental influences during a critical period of postnatal development.

Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects. The quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.

I was tired of a system where women waited around for men to send them a message or ask them out. With Bumble - first a dating app, now a social network that helps you make empowering connections in love, life, and business - women had to make the first move, or the match was void.

I wouldn't mind telling my five good friends that I'm dating, but I don't want my loose connections to know.

While in the early days of networks, growth was limited by slowness and cost at numerous points - expensive telephone connections, computers that crashed, browsers that didn't work - the rise of the smartphone has essentially changed all that.

With our work at Kazaa, we began seeing growing broadband connections and more powerful computers and more streaming multimedia, and we saw that the traditional way of communicating by phone no longer made a lot of sense.

Google is about information and computers and making things really fast. Facebook is about the sharing and connections. These missions give these companies direction and motivation.

There is a real danger that computers will develop intelligence and take over. We urgently need to develop direct connections to the brain so that computers can add to human intelligence rather than be in opposition.

These sites have torn down the geographical divide that once prevented long distance social relationships from forming, allowing instant communication and connections to take place and a virtual second life to take hold for its users.

I have a need to make these sorts of connections literal sometimes, and a vehicle often helps to do that. I have a relationship to car culture. It isn't really about loving cars. It's sort of about needing them.

Nonsense and beauty have close connections.

Connections never go away. The love between your partners, school friends never go away. People will come and go. Nobody will be permanent in life. That does not mean you feel bitter or angry. At one point you evolve. Life is full of experiences.

You may have all the money in the world. All the connections in the world. All the qualifications in the world. Have all the best things in life. Own all the beautiful things in the world, but if you are unable to do or say what you want. If you can't be yourself and you can't express yourself for any reason it may be. Then you are not free, and you will never experience true joy and happiness. Money is everything, but being yourself and being able to express yourself the way you want to ,is more than everything.

Remember that, we are not fighting each other, but we are fighting poverty and the pandemic. Share food and shelter for those who are in need. Share jobs opportunities and connections that can help others .Help those who you can. Don't only share people's downfall, failure, weakness, scandals and gossip. Some of us our struggle is just to put food on the table and to survive. Some people are not lazy, just that .The don't get the same opportunities you got and they don't have the same connections you have.

Don't turn down or miss an appointment of meeting people in your life. Lot of people have missed their opportunities of being billionaires by not showing up, because they didn't feel like it. Most people are successful , not because of their hard work, but it is because of their connections and network of people. It is good to meet people, because you never know how will they help you one day in achieving your goals and dreams.

An instrumental component of the human formula is our insatiable need for interpersonal connections.

Nearly all human cultures plant gardens, and the garden itself has ancient religious connections. For a long time, I've been interested in pre-Christian European beliefs, and the pagan devotions to sacred groves of trees and sacred springs. My German translator gave me a fascinating book on the archaeology of Old Europe, and in it I discovered ancient artifacts that showed that the Old European cultures once revered snakes, just as we Pueblo Indian people still do. So I decided to take all these elements - orchids, gladiolus, ancient gardens, Victorian gardens, Native American gardens, Old European figures of Snake-bird Goddesses - and write a novel about two young sisters at the turn of the century.

Eventually everything connects - people, ideas, objects...the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se...I don't believe in this 'gifted few' concept, just in people doing things they are really interested in doing. They have a way of getting good at whatever it is.

When people can get away with crimes just because they are wealthy or have the right connections, the scales are tipped against fairness and equality. The weight of corruption then becomes so heavy that it creates a dent that forces the world to become slanted, so much so - that justice just slips off.

The truth is, everyone likes to look down on someone. If your favorites are all avant-garde writers who throw in Sanskrit and German, you can look down on everyone. If your favorites are all Oprah Book Club books, you can at least look down on mystery readers. Mystery readers have sci-fi readers. Sci-fi can look down on fantasy. And yes, fantasy readers have their own snobbishness. I'll bet this, though: in a hundred years, people will be writing a lot more dissertations on Harry Potter than on John Updike. Look, Charles Dickens wrote popular fiction. Shakespeare wrote popular fiction-until he wrote his sonnets, desperate to show the literati of his day that he was real artist. Edgar Allan Poe tied himself in knots because no one realized he was a genius. The core of the problem is how we want to define "literature". The Latin root simply means "letters". Those letters are either delivered-they connect with an audience-or they don't. For some, that audience is a few thousand college professors and some critics. For others, its twenty million women desperate for romance in their lives. Those connections happen because the books successfully communicate something real about the human experience. Sure, there are trashy books that do really well, but that's because there are trashy facets of humanity. What people value in their books-and thus what they count as literature-really tells you more about them than it does about the book.

I'm so proud of myself for all the battles I've secretly overcome. I'm grateful for all the people that left to make room for genuine connections. I'm grateful for all the opportunities that ended so I could stretch into new roles. I'm grateful that I've learned to clap for my success without an audience. Most importantly I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience God as Love. I'm just grateful. #devinepressure
