Don't follow someone else's map. You should glean teachings from all directions, keeping true to those that bring progress yet remaining open to changes in yourself.

My discourse leads to the truth; the mind is great and guided by this teaching is able to arrive at some understanding. When the mind has understood all things and found them to be in harmony with what has been expounded by the teachings, it is faithful and comes to rest in that beautiful faith.

Throughout the past there has been a lack of intimacy affection and regard for Islam by Christianity. This to a large extent has been due to a lack of knowledge of the great human and spiritual ideals for which Islam and the teachings of Islam stand.
