Ah lives of men! When prosperous they glitter - Like a fair picture when misfortune comes - A wet sponge at one blow has blurred the painting.

It's funny because I'm a sucker for glitz and glitter when it comes to clothes and nail polish but with my makeup I'm more comfortable with a natural look. It feels more like me.

I'm a lapsed Quaker. I don't go to meetings any more. But I'm very drawn to Catholicism - all that glitter. I'd love to be a Catholic. I think it would be fantastic - faith forgiveness absolution extreme unction - all these wonderful words. I don't think anyone who was ever born a Catholic hasn't died a Catholic no matter how lapsed they are.

In my lifetime I've discovered a great many incredibly talented individuals. Some have achieved stardom. Simultaneously I've seen many dreams shattered egos destroyed and lives changed forever. The end destination may well be fame and fortune but the road to stardom is littered with broken hearts.

There aren't many things that are universally cool and it's cool not to litter. I'd never do it.

I never dreamt of being a musician for my livelihood. I certainly never would have wanted to be in the business that I'm in meaning the fame and the glory the glitter the rock star the famous part.
