Realism falls short of reality. It shrinks it, attenuates it, falsifies it; it does not take into account our basic truths and our fundamental obsessions: love, death, astonishment. It presents man in a reduced and estranged perspective. Truth is in our dreams, in the imagination.

We have our dreams because without them we could not bear the truth.

It is such a supreme folly to believe that nuclear weapons are deadly only if they're used. The fact that they exist at all, their presence in our lives, will wreak more havoc than we can begin to fathom. Nuclear weapons pervade our thinking. Control our behavior. Administer our societies. Inform our dreams. They bury themselves like meat hooks deep in the base of our brains. They are purveyors of madness. They are the ultimate colonizer. Whiter than any white man that ever lived. The very heart of whiteness.

After that day, I discovered one indelible truth. I discovered that love wasn't everything that mattered in life. It was an emotion that not many had the luxury of feeling without any pain attached to it. Many say that love will set you free, but I disagree. Love is a cage, a very painful one; its gilded bars made with yearning, heartache, and unfulfilled dreams. And the moment I realized that love wasn't necessary to one's survival I became free. No one would have the power to hurt me again.

We should write as we dream; we should even try and write, we should all do it for ourselves, it's very healthy, because it's the only place where we never lie. At night we don't lie. Now if we think that our whole lives are built on lying-they are strange buildings-we should try and write as our dreams teach us; shamelessly, fearlessly, and by facing what is inside very human being-sheer violence, disgust, terror, shit, invention, poetry. In our dreams we are criminals; we kill, and we kill with a lot of enjoyment. But we are also the happiest people on earth; we make love as we never make love in life.

Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.

I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?

Dream and chase those dreams. Too many people aren't brave enough to do the first, and don't have the strength to do the second.

I was raised smack in the middle of the storm where East and West would often clash, just like my dreams.

Deep down inside, you know what your passion is, your calling, your purpose in life. It's whatever you're excited about when you wake up every morning, no matter how silly or superficial it seems. It gives you energy. It fills you with joy. You lose track of time when you're doing it. Dream big. You are important. Your dreams are important. Your life's purpose is important.

Some people need to learn to be good people and the doors and opportunities will open for them. Their dreams will come true and life they aspire will be a reality. Maybe life it is hard on them, because they are hard on others.

Focus and don't allow anything to shift your focus on your dreams and the life you desire to live. Challenges will be there, but don't allow them to shift your focus.

What good will it do for you to give up on your dreams and in life? Will it improve that situation you are in or worsen it?

Don't choose to give up in your dreams, because some people don't understand them. You should fight for them to become a reality. When you have a dream to fulfill. You can't live or behave the way other people who don't have a dream live or behave. You can't spend your time the way they spend their time. Don't be distracted in your mission.

No amount of material possession can guarantee inner peace. But gratitude for what we have, and patience with noble dreams yet to come true, will always lead us to the wellspring of bliss within.

Life is personal; nobody else can experience yours for you. And if you never lose your childlike spirit, you never give up on your big dreams, no matter how pointless this might seem to others.

Dreams built with trust (character and competence) ignite the best in each and everyone of us. We must keep dreaming. We must continue to light the fuse of each other's dreams so that one day, we can ALL dream together.

Opinions that have no foundation in truth kill more dreams than lack of talent. And it is by listening to our heart that we often find deep-rooted reasons to own the power to make our dreams come true.

Gratitude is an easy to overlook glorious one-way street that you can count on to take you to places beyond your wildest dreams.

Goals are "dreams with deadlines.

By selecting art in a conscious and proactive way, you can create a more positive future for yourself, rather than letting art determine your outcomes in unknown ways. Armed with this vital knowledge, you can choose art that literally helps attract your hopes, dreams, and wishes.

The key to unlimited possibilities is to imagine the impossible which will unlock your dreams and lead you to an extraordinary reality.

My dreams may have been hidden and locked away, but my ambition had become unbridled setting my spirit free.
