They can desire others, because desire comes out of sense of inner incompleteness, which demands to be filled. But they can not love others, because love is an affirmation of the living growing being in all of us. If you don't have it, you cant give it.

I write only when Inspirational strikes. Fortunately it strikes every morning at nine o'clock sharp.

Love can be a natural endowment, a present, or a gift. If it is not just a donation, it can be a divine talent. Since love is a silver bullet, it can make the unimaginable possible through the power of its Inspirational. ("Love as dizzy as a cathedral")

All of us need to be in touch with a mysterious, tantalizing source of Inspirational that teases our sense of wonder and goads us on to life's next adventure.

Just as anyone who listens to the muse will hear, you can write out of your own intention or out of Inspirational. There is such a thing. It comes up and talks. And those who have heard deeply the rhythms and hymns of the Gods, can recite those hymns in such a way that the Gods will be attracted.

If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you're sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspirational is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that's almost never the case.

The person who tries to live alone will not succeed as a human being. His heart withers if it does not answer another heart. His mind shrinks away if he hears only the echoes of his own thoughts and finds no other Inspirational.

First forget Inspirational. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether you're inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspirational won't. Habit is persistence in practice.

There are, it seems, two muses: the Muse of Inspirational, who gives us inarticulate visions and desires, and the Muse of Realization, who returns again and again to say "It is yet more difficult than you thought." This is the muse of form. It may be then that form serves us best when it works as an obstruction, to baffle us and deflect our intended course. It may be that when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey. The mind that is not baffled is not employed. The impeded stream is the one that sings.

Don't loaf and invite Inspirational; light out after it with a club.
