To force oneself to believe and to accept a thing without understanding is political, and not spiritual or intellectual.

To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself -- that was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word 'doublethink' involved the use of doublethink.

It is so difficult - at least, I find it difficult - to understand people who speak the truth.

Those who wish to seek out the cause of miracles and to understand the things of nature as philosophers, and not to stare at them in astonishment like fools, are soon considered heretical and impious, and proclaimed as such by those whom the mob adores as the interpreters of nature and the Gods. For these men know that, once ignorance is put aside, that wonderment would be taken away, which is the only means by which their authority is preserved.

In a way, the world?view of the Party imposed itself most successfully on people incapable of understanding it. They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality, because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them, and were not sufficiently interested in public events to notice what was happening. By lack of understanding they remained sane. They simply swallowed everything, and what they swallowed did them no harm, because it left no residue behind, just as a grain of corn will pass undigested through the body of a bird.

Don't you understand? When you're standing on their side, you're the bizarre genius, the miraculous hero, the force of the rebellion, the flower that blooms alone. But the second your voice differs from theirs, you've lost your mind, you've ignored morality, you've walked the crooked path.

We all know that Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth at least the truth that is given us to understand. The artist must know the manner whereby to convince others of the truthfulness of his lies.

I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves.

You should never read just for "enjoyment." Read to make yourself smarter! Less judgmental. More apt to understand your friends' insane behavior, or better yet, your own. Pick "hard books." Ones you have to concentrate on while reading. And for God's sake, don't let me ever hear you say, "I can't read fiction. I only have time for the truth." Fiction is the truth, fool! Ever hear of "literature"? That means fiction, too, stupid.

Don't assume, ask. Be kind. Tell the truth. Don't say anything you can't stand behind fully. Have integrity. Tell people how you feel.

Every person must choose how much truth he can stand.

Muhammad has always been standing higher than the Christianity. He does not consider God as a human being and never makes himself equal to God. Muslims worship nothing except God and Muhammad is his Messenger. There is no any mystery and secret in it.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it isn't so.

And the next day? Nothing in my bag. The note was gone. Maybe it didn't seem like a big deal to you, Zach. But now, I hope you understand. My world was collapsing, I needed those notes. I needed any hope those notes might have offered.

You are more powerful when you innerstand your emotional vantage point.

Allow me to be myself and enjoy being who I am without having to pressurize my soul into taking actions that suits your desires. Care about me but let not your care disturb me from living my own life freely. Let us all therefore learn to understand and tolerate one another to make this world a better place to live in.

Do not be scared to say "I love you" to yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself and say to yourself as loudly as you can "I love you. I respect you for what you have faced in life. And I love you for what you have become.

It's hard to hate someone you understand!

The abnormal ones stand out. Thankfully I'm abnormal.

It takes COURAGE to stand alone!

I know the power and force of words, I choose to speak infinite health, happiness, blessings, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, love, success, and other positive words over my life. Luckily for me or by the will of the universe my name is inscribed with infinite.

We do fall in life and not necessarily because we are stupid, but simply because to know that you can stand up, you have to fall.

It's so easy to confuse the messenger with the message. And sometimes when too many people for our liking are screaming the same message at us, the wisest thing to do is to ponder and grow from the message, even if we can't stand the messengers.
