A paradox, I know. It is hard to explain, but I think resolving it has something to do with God's love. As a mere human, I can't fully understand the matter. I only know in my relationship with my wife, I desire for her to love me, but I want her to be free to love me. I can pursue her and court her and work hard in building a relationship with her, but I would not want her to love me because she does not have other opportunities.
